The Mossy New Caledonian Gecko, (Rhacodactylus chahoua), is an arboreal gecko found on the southern part of the New Caledonia island and on the outer islands of Ile de Pines and Grande Terre.

Chahoua were named for the mossy patterns they display. Their colors range from green or gray to darker reds and browns. It has been noted that these color patterns might be a location indicator since specimens from the outer islands can display lighter and grayer patterns. They are known to reach a snout to vent length (SVL) of approximately 5.5 inches.
